We currently have three dogs, Elsa (right) and Sabah (middle) and Sabah's daughter, Molly (left). Elsa was named after the lioness in Born Free; the name is Scandinavian and equates to the English forename Elizabeth. The name is quite appropriate in another context as her mother's name is Good Queen Bess (after Queen Elizabeth I). We tried to preserve the African connection of Born Free when we named our second dog. Sabah, in one of the African languages, means 'Born in the morning'.

To confuse the issue, we use an Australian theme when naming our puppies. Molly's registered name is Athanmas Mollymook Mischif, Mollymook being a small coastal town in New South Wales.

Elsa, who has a 'traditional' darker golden coat, had her first litter of puppies in June 2007. Sabah's first litter was born on the 20th of August 2009 you can see their pictures in the Puppy Gallery. Sabah's litter have now all gone to their new homes. You can also see pictures of Elsa's litter in the Elsa's Puppy Gallery. The galleries contain weekly pictures of the puppies so that you can see how much they changed as they developed over successive weeks.
